Shell, Heart and Yellow Heart come together in one hand-shaped set from our Pune studio, three little studs with three little stories to tell. Each one is pressed and painted from soft clay by hand, so the set has a sweet, collected-over-time feel even though it all arrives at once. Small, cheerful and endlessly easy to wear, they are the studs you reach for again and again.

Are studs a good pick for everyday wear? Yes, they are ideal for it. These sit close to the ear and stay neatly put, so they slip under headphones, scarves and hair without any fuss and suit both busy work days and slow weekends.

Since every stud is formed and finished by hand, small variations in colour and shape are natural and expected, and they are exactly what make your set unlike anyone else's. A slightly different heart, a warmer yellow, a shell with its own little curve, these are the fingerprints of the maker. Three designs in one box make a lovely gift too, whether you keep the set whole or share a piece with a friend.

Look after them by keeping them dry, away from perfume, water and sprays, and store them separately so they don't knock against harder pieces. Clay can chip if dropped, so a soft pouch or a lined box is the gentlest place to keep them safe between wears.

• Hand-wash with a soft sponge for best results, though it's dishwasher safe too.
• Avoid abrasive scrubbers and harsh chemical cleaners.
• Avoid sudden temperature changes (e.g. freezer straight to microwave).
• Small variations in colour and form are natural, the mark of a handmade piece.
